I simply do not understand the up-tempo that the Akron Zips demand to play. They have gotten very few open looks, on the other end BG has dropped two threes to extend their two point lead to eight--now at six.
Sure Bowling Green's defense has had something to do with it, but Akron is more prone to turn the ball over than get an open look.
Both of their baskets so far has come via set pieces and running their offense.
On the flip side, BG has crisp passing and has played smart basketball which has landed them opening looks and they have been able to knock them down.
