Eastern Michigan junior wide receiver Demarius Reed was found dead early Friday morning in an Ypsilanti, Mich., apartment building, the victim of what police are calling a homicide.

According to police Reed's body was found in the hallway of an off-campus apartment building at 7:15 a.m.. According to MLive.com police have said they believe Reed's cause of death is a gunshot wound. No more details have been released.
The Eastern Michigan athletic department has yet to release a statement on the matter.
The Eagles are scheduled to take on the Ohio Bobcats Saturday at 1 p.m. in Ypsilanti.
