Early Friday morning the Eastern Michigan football team suffered a tragic loss in the death of junior wide receiver Demarius Reed. Police announced that they found Reed in an off-campus apartment in Ypsilanti, Mich., the apparent victim of a homicide.
The 20-year-old was the Eagles' fourth leading receiver this season, having hauled in 15 catches for 181 yards and a touchdown through the team's first six games. After the news of Reed's tragic death was confirmed Friday, several of his teammates took to Twitter to mourn the loss.
