MAC Announces Tie-In With New Miami Beach Bowl

A few months full of new bowl tie-ins for the MAC kept on rolling today as the conference announced its participation in the newly created Miami Beach Bowl, which will be played in Marlins Park starting in 2014. Together with the previously announced Boca Raton Bowl and Bahamas Bowl, the Miami Beach Bowl will be part of a three-bowl rotation involving the MAC, Conference USA, the American Athletic Conference, and a conference yet to be named. The MAC's turn in the Miami Beach Bowl comes in 2016, followed by another game in 2018. So, starting in the 2014 season, the MAC will have four out of six years with a minimum of five guaranteed bowl games, with efforts underway to find a fifth guaranteed spot for 2017 and 2019.
