Cameron Stingily has had an eventful couple of days. He celebrated a birthday with a big performance, got arrested, and was named one of the Mid-American Conference's Offensive Player's of the Week in a three-day span.
Saturday the Northern Illinois junior running back rushed for 266 yards on 37 carries in the Huskies 38-24 win over Kent State. Saturday also happened to be his 22nd birthday. Not a bad day.
But Sunday didn't go so smooth. Accoring to Huskie Wire, a day after the greatest performance of his career, Stingily found himself sitting in handcuffs, arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge related to driving without a valid drivers license.
He was released on $225 bond, and Monday was named MAC West Offensive Player of the Week.
The news of his arrest broke early this morning, but it shouldn't keep the bruising running back from seeing the field Saturday against Akron.
According to NIU head coach Rod Carey, Stingily has taken care of the issue and is good to go.
Carey said Cameron Stingily will play this week. He said "all the corrective measures have been taken."

That's good news for Huskies fans. Stingily currently ranks 17th in the nation with 576 rushing yards.
