BGSU and Toledo continue to build a strong 2014 class by picking up commitments from nationally ranked offensive linemen Austin Labus and Christian Beard, respectively.
BGSU picked up it's 16th commitment for 2014 when Austin Labus (Portage, MI) committed to the falcons on Tuesday. Labus is a 6'6" 270lb OT who is known for his lateral strength and flourishes in a run-heavy scheme. Labus is rated as a 2-star recruit by Scout.com but has flown under the radar with other major recruiting outfits. Toledo also picked up a commitment from OT Christian Beard (Waco, TX) on Tuesday. Beard is rated as a top #100 OL recruit in the nation by both 247 Sports and ESPN. Beard, at 6'4" 270lbs, has the ability to play the offensive tackle position as well as the guard spot. Beard will be tasked with protecting (2) top MAC QB recruits Travis Smith and Mike Berry who committed to Toledo earlier this year. Beard is currently the highest rated recruit for the rockets and is the 20th commit for 2014.
