Mercifully, the fourth quarter of this game was quick. Some garbage-time touchdowns were scored, and when the scoreboard clock showed all zeroes, the San Diego St. Aztecs had defeated the Buffalo Bulls 49-24.

Buffalo was outgained 462-309, and much of that yardage was gained after the Bulls fell behind 42-10 in the third quarter. The primary discrepancy was on the ground, where the Aztecs gained 251 yards to just 113 by Buffalo.
Joe Licata completed just 13 of 30 passes for Buffalo. The 13 completions went for 196 yards, three touchdowns and one interceptions; however, two of the three touchdowns came in the fourth quarter. Branden Oliver carried the ball 28 times for 114 yards and caught three balls for 22 yards and a touchdown. Alex Neutz (three catches, 77 yards) and Fred Lee (four catches, 48 yards) also had touchdown receptions.
For San Diego State, Quinn Kaehler threw for 211 yards and two touchdowns by completing 15 of 28 passes. Running back Adam Muema was the star of the game, as he compiled 229 yards and three touchdowns on 28 runs. Ezell Ruffin caught five passes for 75 yards to lead the Aztecs in both categories.
Khalil Mack was held largely in check and had no sacks during today's game.
Each team completes their season with an 8-5 record.
