On Christmas Eve I called upon some Mid-American Conference fans to help create a MAC Christmas carol. After an hour of awful rhymes we came up with this gem, enjoy:
'Twas the night before Christmas & all through the country, not a MAC game was played, not even hockey. (Finish the poem).

@HustleBelt until Jordan Lynch gathered the troops, and still no one was blocking
— Luke Wollet (@BigDaddyWol) December 24, 2013
@HustleBelt Hustlebelt sat back all smug having used "hockey", turns out in the end all he was was real cocky!
— Grant Cummings (@GCPepperguy) December 24, 2013
@BigDaddyWol @HustleBelt and all Miami wanted was a win in their stocking
— Anthony Melchiori (@AMelch14) December 24, 2013
@AMelch14 @HustleBelt but Miami was sad because no one was watching
— Luke Wollet (@BigDaddyWol) December 24, 2013
@HustleBelt With the Huskies in SoCal, the Cards in Mobile, the Falcons in MoTown ready to take the field.
— Landen Kiser (@lando_kiser) December 24, 2013
@BigDaddyWol @HustleBelt but don't forget western, their boat is still rocking
— Anthony Melchiori (@AMelch14) December 24, 2013
@AMelch14 @HustleBelt while we all listened to Coach English at Eastern, it was shocking
— Luke Wollet (@BigDaddyWol) December 24, 2013
Sort of like when BG stunned NIU in the motor city, it was a surprise, and for the Huskies it wasn't too pretty.
— Hustle Belt (@HustleBelt) December 24, 2013
But all was OK as Lynch made it to NYC, where he came in third ahead of that guy from BC.
— Hustle Belt (@HustleBelt) December 24, 2013
Then Buffalo got stomped, beaten blue like the field, and Ohio got rocked, by some Pirates without beards.
— Hustle Belt (@HustleBelt) December 24, 2013
@HustleBelt Don't forget Akron. They were home watching the action!
— David Dermer (@The_Only_Derm) December 24, 2013
While their basketball team was in Hawaii, spreading the #MACtion.
— Hustle Belt (@HustleBelt) December 24, 2013
@BigDaddyWol @AMelch14 @HustleBelt Clawson left, Lembo stayed. We all wish Dri Archer had more Flash games to be played.
— HeHaithMe (@HeHaithMe) December 24, 2013
Though football season is closing there's no need for tears. Toledo, Kent St, Ohio & Akron are rolling as conference basketball play nears.
— Hustle Belt (@HustleBelt) December 24, 2013
@HustleBelt They're not Alabama and they're not Tennessee, but someone tell Ball U how tough Arky St can be.
— HeHaithMe (@HeHaithMe) December 24, 2013
@HustleBelt Ohio just folded and Buffalo got clowned, MAC fans can't have these beatings going down.
— HeHaithMe (@HeHaithMe) December 24, 2013
But as the sun went down and Christmas morning drew near, all across the MAC lands fans gathered to stand up and cheer.
— Hustle Belt (@HustleBelt) December 24, 2013
They sang songs of Heisman Trophy finishes & No. 1 Draft picks, as they wished each other Merry Christmas to the sounds of Craig Mack's hits
— Hustle Belt (@HustleBelt) December 24, 2013
UMass sat on its porch feeling all alone, but the MAC invited its step-child in to its home, claiming the Minutemen as one of its own.
— Hustle Belt (@HustleBelt) December 24, 2013
And together the 13 schools celebrated well into the night. With @JGuyMAC shouting "Merry Christmas all, and to all a good night!"
— Hustle Belt (@HustleBelt) December 24, 2013
Merry Christmas everyone.
