Poinsettia Bowl: Northern Illinois vs. Utah State, Open Chat

Two bowl games in one night!? Christmas may have come late, but it's a fantastic one in deed. We'll be live chatting the Poinsettia Bowl right here, so come hangout with us for the game.

Tonight is the last time we'll ever see Jordan Lynch in an NIU uniform.

If this isn't the greatest week ever, I don't know what is. We've already played two bowl games (one is still in progress technically), had a slew of basketball games, oh and yesterday was Christmas! But, let's get to the matter at hand. The Huskies have invaded southern California and are taking the field as we speak for tonight's Poinsettia Bowl vs. a very tough Utah State team.

For NIU this is a chance to rebound after getting its teeth kicked in by Bowling Green in the MAC Championship game earlier this month. Undoubtedly the Huskies will be fired up, especially with this being the last game for several key players including All-American's Jimmie Ward and Jordan Lynch. But, Utah State is no slouch. In fact, some experts think the Aggies' defense is tougher than the Falcons' defense that brought NIU to its knees.

Just like for the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl, which we're currently at, we're on site for this one as well. How you ask? MAGIC OF COURSE! In all seriousness though, our own Keith Scheessele is at the game as a credential representative and will be writing up a spiffy recap of the game for your pleasure later. The rest of the crew is holding down the Belt, where we'll be bringing you up to the minute coverage the game in our official StoryStream.

We'll also be hosting a open chat for the game here, just like we're currently doing for the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl. So pull up a seat, crack open a few brewskis and join the party. No one can open chat a game quite like the Belt can.
