For all the hype, the suspensions, and the Kirk Herbstreit trying to make up to MAC fans, the first 15 minutes of this one has been all Florida, as the Gators lead 7-0.
The Rockets offense, which was supposed to be a strength, has yet to find it's stride. Terrance Owens has thrown for 18 yards on 2 for 7 passing. David Fluellen has 2 carries for 3 yards. That's it. That's all the offense.
For Florida, they scored on their first drive, an 11 play, 84 yard drive capped by a 1 yard, Mack Brown TD run. Toledo's defense got a stop on the second drive, thanks to a false start penalty that put the Gators in a 3rd and 9 in their own territory.
Toledo's D is doing what they can, but the offense needs to spark, quick.
