FINAL: Kent State Falls to Penn State 34-0

Dri Archer once again missed action, and it proved costly as the Kent State Golden Flashes were shut out by Penn St. 34-0. Kent State was never able to get anything going offensively, failing to gain even 200 total yards of offense.

With no Archer, and Trayion Durham once again proving ineffective alone, Colin Reardon was left without a running game behind him. The result was the Nittany Lions defense had no trouble neutralizing the redshirt freshman quarterback.

The Golden Flash defense performed equally as bad, allowing 463 yards of total offense including nearly 300 yards on the ground. Penn State running back Zack Zwinak rushed for 3 touchdowns on just 15 attempts. Despite Zwinak's dominance he finished third on the team with just 65 rushing yards, as backups Akeel Lynch (123 yards) and Bill Belton (90 yards) out gained him on the ground.

Kent State was outmatched, and it showed.
