Another Jahwan Edwards touchdown has the Ball State Cardinals flexing their offensive muscle over the Toledo Rockets as the Cards enter the half with a 17-10 lead.
On the stat sheet, the Cardinals have dominated the game -- 270 total yards to 125. 16 first downs to 5. 1 penalty to 7 (!), 17 minutes of possession to 12. In fact, the only thing that's going the Rockets way is turnovers: Chase Murdock came away with a fumble recovery to kill another Ball State drive that had already entered Toledo territory.
The gameplan for the Cardinals: keep the Toledo defense on its heels. Turnovers happen, but they seem to be able to find holes in the D on big plays.
The gameplan for the Rockets: find a way to jump start the offense. Terrance Owens sparked the team last week against Central Michigan, but he's had too many throws sail over the heads of his receivers today. His receivers haven't helped, as crucial passes have slipped through their fingers.
