The first half is in the books, and the Toledo Rockets still hanging tough with Mizzou...
The Rockets defense continues to go to work: Jordan Martin picked off James Franklin early in the 2nd stanza to set Toledo up for their second FG, and the defense racked up sacks 3 and 4 on the game back-to-back: Chase Murdock and Treyvon Hester combined to drive the Tigers 17 yards backwards. Only on the final drive of the half did they manage to find paydirt: James Franklin hit 6'6" Drial Green-Beckham on a fade route for their second TD of the game.
The offense has been getting down the field, but can't cash in once they get there. One drive saw a 3rd and 4 become a 3rd and 14 after two false start penalties. The final drive of the half had the Rockets on the 2 yard line with 7 seconds left, but Owens panicked and threw a pass into the hands of Matt White for the INT. But give it up to Jeremiah Detmer: the PK is 3 for 3, with field goals from 24, 46, and 41 yards.
