The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association announced the players to its Academic All-Ohio teams and three Ohio University players made the cut. Sophomore defender Grace Campbell, junior defender Gabby Hausfeld and senior midfielder/forward Maggie Murnane all made the Academic All-Ohio Division I Third Team.

The trio of Campbell, Hausfeld and Murnane contributed to the Bobcats earning the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award for the team averaging a 3.30 grade point average.

Murnane's accomplishments seem the most impressive as she posts a 3.93 overall GPA as an exercise physiology major. She acheived this while starting 19 of 20 games and logged 1,331 minutes while also serving as team captain. She scored three goals and two assists and ranked second on the team with 17 shots on goal.

Campbell was a rock in Ohio's backline as she and Hausfeld helped the Bobcats record five shutouts this season. Campbell did this while earning a 3.69 GPA over two years as a applied nutrition major and starting 15 games this season.

Hausfeld was just as needed in the Bobcats' backline as she led Ohio with 20 starts this season in the central defender role. She also logged a team-high 1,852 minutes played while majoring in biological sciences and psychology and gaining a cumulative 3.41 GPA. Hausfeld was also named to the Academic All-MAC team in 2012.

This season marks the fifth straight season in which the Bobcats qualified for the Mid-American Conference Tournament but were eliminated in the first round by No. 1 seed Eastern Michigan.
