MAC Basketball & Hockey Saturday Open Thread

Basketball at 11 am? Sure.

Karrington Ward and the Eagles are looking to bounce back after losing at home to Akron.

So there's a lot going on today basketball wise. Plus it's only twenty degrees outside so the chances are you probably won't be going outside today.

Men's Games

Ohio Eastern Michigan 11:00a ESPNU
Buffalo Northern Illinois 2:00 MACDN
Miami Bowling Green 6:00 TWC/ESPN3
Akron Central Michigan 7:00 MACDN

Gotta love basketball at 11am. That game will probably be the best one of the day, so be sure to tune in to that one. For Buffalo this may just be a must-win game, as they try to not lose to a bad team on the road for the second straight time. Miami and Bowling Green are starting to sneak into the discussion in the MAC East race and both have identical 3-2 records. The winner in that game could be as high as third place in the league depending on what happens in the other games. Central Michigan isn't a cupcake but Akron should be able to cruise.

Women's Games

Central Michigan Western Michigan 2:00 MACDN
Miami Kent State 2:00 MACDN

Central and Western tangle as Broncos try to give Crystal Bradford and the Chips their first conference loss. The second game will be kind of a stinker, as both Miami and Kent State are a combined 1-11 in conference play.

Hockey

Lake Superior State Bowling Green 7:00
Miami Colorado College 9:00

Grab your Starbucks and let's go.
