Arkansas State Leads Ball State 16-10 After Three Quarters

Arkansas State jumped out in front of the Ball State Cardinals after a halftime tie at 10 to take a 16-10 lead after three quarters at the GoDaddy Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.

With senior quarterback Adam Kennedy out following a knee injury, Red Wolves dual threat quarterback Fredi Knighten led ASU on two drives resulting in field goals.  Arkansas State kicked Brian Davis connected from 18 yards and 29 yards in the third.

Ball State has been unable to get much going in the second half.  The Cardinals have produced just 212 yards of total offense through three quarters.  Jahwan Edwards, who rushed for 92 yards in the first half, totaled just 8 in the third quarter.  BSU quarterback Keith Wenning has completed 14 of 26 passes for 125 yards.  Willie Snead has caught the lone touchdown for the Cardinals.  Snead has caught 6 balls for 56 yards.
