2014 Eastern Michigan Football Recruiting: 3-Star WR Kenny Jones Commits To EMU

Danny Wild-USA TODAY Sports

Chris Creighton just doesn't seize to impress with the recruits he's been racking in. This time, he has a highly-touted wide receiver from Indianapolis committing to Eastern Michigan's program.

Excellent athlete who can go up and make tough grabs in traffic. Has good timing, high points the ball and adjusts to passes in the air. Has a long frame, but needs to add bulk and strength still. Has good ability to get deep and make plays downfield, and that's mostly how he has been used. Still needs to polish up his route running skills. Has shown solid ability after the catch.

Kenny Jones is a 3-star recruit per both 247sports.com and Scout.com. The conflicting sites have him standing between 6'2" and 6'3" and weigh around 180 lbs. 247sports has Jones listed as the 11th best wide receiver in the state of Indiana. Looking at the list of schools that gave Jones an offer, it's very surprising that he chose EMU. Jones also had offers from Louisville, Indiana, Iowa State and Illinois.

National Signing Day is right around the corner and the Eagles still have a University of Northern Iowa commit visiting this weekend, cornerback Tim Gordon.
