The 2014 Johnny Bench Award watch list is out and there are three players from the Mid-American Conference on it. They include TJ Losby (Bowling Green State University), Adam Sonabend (Eastern Michigan University), and Brett Sunde (Western Michigan University).

Losby is the favorite of these three. Making 109 consecutive starts, coming off of a season in which he was a first team All-MAC, and voted as second team All-Mideast Region catcher by the ABCA, Losby has an impressive list of accomplishments already.

2014 Season Stats to this point: .256 Batting Average .333 On-Base Percentage, and 7 RBI.

Sonabend makes a good case for the award as this is his second consecutive appearance on the list. Sonabend had an impressive sixty-five hits last season (second on the team), finished fourth in the MAC in OBP last season, and currently leads the MAC in free passes (BB) with 12.

2014 Season Stats: .196 AVG, .362 OBP, and 10 RBI.

Sunde is the youngest player on the list, and while he likely won't win the Bench award this season the recognition is an honor in itself. The sophomore made thirty six starts last season, and has been drafted by the Oakland Athletics. Sunde has already seen a major increase in offensive production as he has raised his batting average by over 70 points this season.

2014 Season Stats: .309 AVG, .333 OBP, and 11 RBI.
