2014 MAC Tournament Semifinal, Eastern Michigan vs. Toledo: Final Score: UT 59-44

The MAC Tournament final is set.

Toledo took hold of the semifinal game in the second half behind the stellar play of Rian Pearson. Pearson was an absolute monster, scoring eighteen points and grabbing nine rebounds. Julius Brown finished with a surprising three points and two assists, but it was a game where the Rockets didn't need Brown to step into that second scorer role.

The Eagle zone really caused fits for the Rockets early on in the second half as Toledo went just 2-13 in the first ten minutes. But, the Toledo defense actually held strong forcing Eastern Michigan into just 3-16 shooting in that same time period. That Toledo drought was Eastern Michigan's chance to take the game over and the Eagles could not muster up enough offense to make it happen.

The Eagles tried valiantly to make a comeback, but just couldn't do it. The scoring effort was fairly even with Mike Talley, Glenn Bryant and Darell Combs all scoring eight, eleven, and nine points respectively. The Eagles will likely land in the CBI or CIT, depending on if they get an invite or not.

Toledo moves on to face a Western Michigan squad they've beaten already, albeit by a comeback and in overtime. It's setting up to be a fantastic final at Quicken Loans Arena, and make sure to stay here for all the MAC Tournament coverage you need.
