Buffalo and Ball State Split Their Shortened Series Due to Stupid Snow, Oddities in Game One
Game 1: Buffalo wins 14-13
Game 2: Ball State wins 5-2
Game 3: Cancelled
Game One was a complete slugfest with a pair of really strange oddities. First, Buffalo's Ben Hartz allowed 10 hits in less than three innings of work with nine runs scored against him, but his team still managed to win. Then, Mike Burke had a 3-for-6 day at the plate with a double and a home run, and would later come in to pitch a couple of innings and pick up his third win of the season. He would be the losing pitcher in Game Two as Ball State's Scott Baker threw a complete game.
Bull Run's recap can be found HERE.

Central Michigan Improves to 6-0 in MAC Play, Sweeps at Home
Game 1: Central Michigan wins 8-4
Game 2: Central Michigan wins 4-1
Game 3: Central Michigan wins 2-1
It comes to no surprise that the Chippewas took their first home series, even if it was against a rising RedHawks squad. Even though the offensive numbers were very limited in the final game for CMU, true freshman Nick Deeg kept Miami to a hitless first six innings, giving the Chippewas enough time to generate a pair of runs, which was all they needed at the end.

Game 1: Kent State wins 10-2
Game 2: Kent State wins 6-1

A good formula for success = good pitching + lotsa hits. Kent State definitely had that going for themselves in the first couple of games with a team batting average of .385 and a WHIP of 0.889, but found themselves in a costly pitchers' duel in the series finale.

Bowling Green and Northern Illinois Meet Near Indianapolis, Falcons Take Two in Series
Game 1: Northern Illinois wins 9-0
Game 2: Bowling Green wins 4-1
Game 3: Bowling Green wins 7-3
More crappy Midwestern weather had to relocate this series to the Indianapolis area, which is a real knee to the groin for both fan bases. Mike Frank did work in Game Two of the series with a seven-inning one-hitter to hold NIU to only one run, picking up three strikeouts.
