Toledo Beats EMU, Splits MAC Regular Season Championship With WMU

Having already clinched the No. 2 seed in the 2014 MAC Tournament, Toledo wasn't fighting for a tournament seed Saturday, but it was fighting for a share of the MAC West & regular season titles, and with the win over EMU it wrapped both up. The Rockets finish the season tied with WMU atop the MAC standings and atop the West Division. With the win Toledo has clinched it's first regular season championship (shared or otherwise) since 2007.

The Rockets won't play again until next Friday in the semifinals. After the game head coach Tod Kowalczyk made it clear his team wasn't satisfied with a share of the regular season championship.

With the triple bye the team only has to win twice to capture a MAC Tournament Championship and an automatic bid in the 2014 NCAA Tournament.
