Buffalo Sweeps Western Michigan, Burke Throws Another Complete Game

Game 2: Buffalo wins 5-4

Game 3: Buffalo wins 7-3

Mike Burke throws his second complete game in conference play, allowing only three runs to score which brings his earned run average up to 2.90 (previously 2.86) in conference play. Kevin Hughes made his first start on the hill after appearing nine times out of the bullpen and allowed 12 hits, but still got the win. Baseball's weird like that sometimes.

If you would have told me three months ago that, at this point, Ohio would be at the bottom of the MAC standings and Akron would be tied at the top of the East with Kent State, I would have called you a half-liar because there's no way Akron could have been this good, right?
