Former Buffalo wide receiver Alex Neutz has signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent.
The former All-MAC wide receiver wasn't selected in the 2014 NFL Draft, but signed with the Bengals almost immediately following the end of the event.
During his time with the Bulls, Neutz turned out a memorable career. He holds the school's record for touchdown receptions with 31. The former 2-star WR is a slightly larger target, at 6-foot-3, 214 pounds, but lacks ideal speed to be a deep threat (he ran a 4.58 at his pro day. That said, his production and development at UB is undeniable.
In his first two seasons in the Bulls' offense Neutz caught 69 passes for 1,055 yards and eight touchdowns. In 2012 he nearly doubled that production, catching 65 passes for 1,015 yards and 11 scores. This past year was his best year yet. He hauled in 61 receptions for 1,024 yards and 12 scores.

COMBINE / PRO DAY RESULTS
HEIGHT: 6'3"
WEIGHT: 214 lbs.
BENCH PRESS: 14
VERTICAL: 33"
BROAD JUMP: 9'9"
40-YARD DASH: 4.58 sec.
Part of what makes Neutz so valuable is his ability to tack on yards after the catch. His crisp route running, and sure hands mean he's always in the best place to make a play. At Cincinnati he could be a factor in the intermediate passing game right away, and in time could develop into a solid third, or even second option.
