Kent State's Darius Polk Signs With Indianapolis Colts

Roosevelt Nix isn't the only former member of the Kent State defense to sign as an undrafted free agent this year. Former Golden Flashes cornerback Darius Polk inked a deal with the Indianapolis Colts.

The 2013 second-team All-MAC corner was a key player in the Flashes secondary over the past two seasons, even earning the MAC Championship East MVP for his big game in a loss to NIU in 2012. He recorded 10 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and recovered a fumble in that game.

The 5-foot-11, 189 pound corner isn't exceptionally fast (4.52 40), but there's no denying he was an effective corner at Kent State. In two seasons as a starting corner he totaled 118 tackles, and six interceptions.

Polk joins a pair of former MAC running backs, CMU's Zurlon Tipton and Buffalo's Bo Oliver, in Indianapolis as undrafted free agent signings.
