BREAKING: ESPN and the Mid-American Conference Agree to New 13-year Contract

A historic deal, having been hinted at by the Mid-American Conference, has been confirmed by a number of sources, including Brett McMurphy of ESPN. The deal gives ESPN all television distribution rights through 2026-2027, and reworks the last three years of the current contract, which pays $1 million per year. ESPN will pick up football, men's and women's basketball, and certain Olympic sports as part of the new deal. Financial details are still being sorted out, and will be reported on later.
