MAC Pick'em: October Is Upon Us (Finally)!

After five long weeks in August and September, we're finally in the bulk of conference season and big time points. See how you did last week as well as join the fun for this week.

Are you ready to rumble?  It's October and that means it's conference season, finally!  With that, the Pick'em turns from easier, one point games to crucial two pointers.  MAC season is where we separate the MACstradmuses from the phony Miss Cleo's.  Where will you fall?

As for last week, we had another perfect week.  However, like last time, they did not detail their picks and they finished tied for the lead with other pickers.  So with that said, your perfect week belongs to Balszy, but your other winners are Matt Daley, cwo262, and DougieNix.  Congrats

Here are the full results from Week 5.

And now to Week 6!

Week 6

Ball State @ Army - Sure the Cardinals lost to Indiana State, but Army just lost to Yale and Ball State got to rest up and regroup.  I like the MAC to continue to extend their dominance over the Black Knights

Eastern Michigan @ Akron - I mean, it's EMU.........

UMass @ Miami - Don't get me wrong, I like UMass in this game.  However, Miami appears to have a better defense and has played better in my opinion.  Give me the home team, especially when UMass hasn't shown an ounce of clutch in the past few seasons.

Ohio @ Central Michigan - Again, when in doubt, take the home team.  Especially if the Chips have Rawls and Davis back at full strength.

Buffalo @ Bowling Green - See the trend here?  The Falcons have the offense to take this game, even if their defense is shaky at best.

Kent State @ Northern Illinois - Is it really just two seasons ago that this was the MAC Championship?  Wow, how time flies.

Toledo @ Western Michigan - Yep, the lone away team to win a conference game will be the Rockets.  They have the run game to keep up with the Broncos, and a better passing attack (even if Corey Davis should be 100% by game time).  WMU showed they could keep up with the big dogs of the MAC last weekend by hanging with the tough Virginia Tech squad.  But Toledo is still one of the powers, and it'll take a lot to knock them off right now.

High Team: NIU
Low Team: EMU

Now, it's your turn.  Don't forget to detail your picks in the comments section below.  All detailed points will be handed out as 3 bonus points.  Enjoy!
