The 2015 MAC women's soccer regular season has come to a close.
Ball State clinched the regular season title since 2007 on Thursday with a 1-0 win over Miami. The Cardinals finished the regular season with a record of 10-0-1 in the MAC, and 14-3-2 overall.
Western Michigan finished second in the West Division and in the conference after concluding its season with an 8-1-2 MAC record and an overall record of 11-3-4.
Buffalo (11-6-2 overall, 7-3-1 MAC), Kent State (11-6-2, 7-4 MAC), and Miami (10-7-1 overall, 6-4-1 MAC) round out the top five teams after the conclusion of the regular season.
Central Michigan finished the regular season 6-10-2, and 5-5-1 in the MAC to earn the six seed, followed by seven seed Toledo who ended the year with a 9-11 record, 5-6 in league play. The final team to slide into the eight team bracket is Akron (6-12-11 overall, 3-8 MAC).
The MAC conference tournament will start on Sunday, November 1st and will continue through its conclusion on November 8th. The higher see of each quarterfinal game will host the contest. The semi-finals will be held on Friday, November 6th, with the winners of each semi-final matchup meeting on the following Sunday.
Top-seeded Ball State will host eight seed Akron in the quarterfinals this coming Sunday at 1pm, EST.
