Matt Campbell leading candidate for Iowa State head coaching vacancy

Just a day after a crushing loss to Western Michigan that plummeted the Rockets' hopes of a New Year's Sox bowl and/or a MAC Championship appearance and vowing to not be interested in other jobs outside of Toledo, head coach Matt Campbell has emerged as the leader for the Cyclones job. Campbell has also been linked to the Mizzou job. ISU officials have canceled their other interviews and could sign Campbell as soon as Monday, according to sources and Sports Illustrated. The Cyclones are in desperate need of s turnaround; the last time ISU won any league championship was in 1912.
