3-star defensive end Eric Mitchell was offered by new head coach Jason Candle and his staff. The news was first reported by Scout's Corey Bender .

Mitchell recently decommitted from the Florida Gators and reportedly has offers from Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Georgia Southern, Louisville, Marshall, Rutgers, Syracuse, South Florida, and Central Florida.

Mitchell plans to take official visits to Louisville on January 13th as well as UCF on January 23rd. It is uncertain whether or not he plans on taking an official visit to Toledo at this time.

Coach Candle and his staff have wasted no time in getting to work on the recruiting trail, landing 3-star LB Ron George on Christmas Day. Look for the Rockets to finish out the 2016 recruiting cycle strong.
