RIVALRY GAMES ARE SO MUCH FUN! ROUND 1 WAS FANTASTIC, MAYBE ROUND TWO CAN BE EVEN MORE FANTASTIC!
Time (EST) | Game | TV | Stream |
8:00 | Akron Zips vs. Ohio Bobcats | ESPNU | WatchESPN |
In the first game, Javarez "Bean" Willis dropped 31 points in the one-point win over Akron (17-11, 8-7 MAC) with 17 coming in a four-minute stretch. Now, three and a half weeks later, the Zips are in a little bit worse of a situation, going 2-4 since that game including a pair of costly intra-divisional losses against the Miami RedHawks and Buffalo Bulls.
Ohio is still having a very dismal season with an overall record 9-17, 4-11 against in-conference foes. The last time the Bobcats won a game was against Eastern Michigan at home, just three days after the home victory over Akron. But now Akron will have a second chance at beating Ohio on the Zips' own home floor.
