16 midweek games, and they'll all be nationally televised. The MAC will also play against the defending national champions Ohio State twice.

Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

This afternoon, the MAC teams released the dates for their respective schedules for the upcoming football season.

Marshall, Memphis, Michigan State, Ohio State and Wisconsin all finished in the AP Top 25 to end their seasons last year and will be playing against against some of our MAC teams this year. Defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes will play host to both Northern Illinois Huskies and Western Michigan Broncos.

The 19th Marathon MAC Football Championship game will be played on Friday, December 4 at Ford Field in Detroit for the 12th time. This game can be seen on ESPN2. Nine schools from the Big Ten (Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin) will play against MAC-affiliated schools. The MAC will also play against four schools from the SEC (Arkansas, LSU, Tennessee, Texas A&M), three from the ACC (Boston College, Pittsburgh, Syracuse), Colorado from the Pac-12 and Independent Notre Dame.
