Williams was formerly a Georgia commit before flipping to the Bobcats on Signing Day. Williams is a 3-star recruit according to 247Sports Composite and is rated a top 35 safety in the class of 2015. Williams chose Ohio over reported offers from Auburn, Boise State, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Memphis, Miami (FL), Mississippi State, NC State, North Carolina Notre Dame, Purdue, UCLA, and Utah.
