Ball State Football to play at Notre Dame in 2018

Ball State lands a marquee opponent for their future non-conference schedule in the Fighting Irish.

Announced earlier today via press release, the Ball State Cardinals will be traveling to South Bend to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on September 8th, 2018. the release is a part of a series o teasers leading up to spring ball in March and April.

Both teams will be meeting for the first time, and Coach Lembo is excited for the match-up, declaring that

The opportunity to play one of the most storied programs in college football in a historic stadium will be very special for our student-athletes and everyone else associated with Ball State football.

Ball State fans will have a special opportunity to buy tickets for this game in advance via special promotion, as per press release:

Through tomorrow – St. Patrick’s Day – at 5 p.m., fans who purchase a minimum of two general admission season tickets will receive a green Nike Ball State T-Shirt and the choice of either Lucky Charms cereal for a year or Shamrock Shakes for the purchaser and 20 of their friends from one of the Muncie McDonald’s locations.

Ball State's other non-conference scheduled game a home date on Sept. 22 vs. Western Kentucky. The rest of the future schedules are to be announced Next Monday, with opponents for the years 2017-2021 expected to be announced. Ball State's non-conference futures schedules are as follows:
