2016 Western Michigan Football Recruiting: LB Tristian Pipp Commits To Broncos

WMU steals one away from the Big Ten.

Just days removed from naming Wisconsin his overall leader, class of 2016 linebacker Tristian Pipp has shocked the recruiting world by committing to the Western Michigan Broncos over scholarship offers from the Badgers, Iowa, Buffalo, and others.

A 6'1 210 pound, three-star standout, Pipp shut down his recruitment after once again having the chance to visit the WMU campus, and mingle with P.J. Fleck, and the rest of the Bronco coaching staff on Friday. With the Greendale, Wisconsin native now in the fold, Fleck, and crew are currently sitting at 11 verbal commitments for 2016.

Pipp, the 26th inside linebacker, and 865th overall prospect in the 2016 class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, accounted for over 100 total tackles last season as a junior for the 11-1 Greendale High Panthers, and was selected First-Team All-State for his play on the field.

Not just a top perfromer for Greendale on the gridiron, Pipp is also a standout outfielder on the high school level.
