2016 Ohio Football Recruiting: WR Cameron Odom Commits To Bobcats

See what the instate standout had to say about his verbal commitment to the Bobcats and more.

While most people were still fast asleep in their beds or downing their third cup of coffee this morning, class of 2016 prospect Cameron Odom was committing to the Ohio Bobcats over scholarship offers from programs such as Ball State, Central Michigan, and James Madison.

"I broke the news to Coach (Jesse) Williams this morning. He literally yelled into the phone with excitement, and said he was fired up about my decision." The 6'2 170 pound wide receiver stated to Hustle Belt.

"OU really stood out to me on my visit. The coaches weren't being pushy about committing. They were themselves at all times, especially Coach Williams. I really like the location. My parents can come watch me play, and I loved the atmosphere down there." Added Odom, who plays for former Bobcat Sean Williams at Bedford High (OH).

With his college plans now made, Odom will shift his focus on bettering his overall game in hopes of early playing time when he arrives in Athens in 2016.

"I'm focusing on getting stronger, and more explosive, watching film on college receivers, and doing drills that imitate it."

After landing a verbal pledge from Brecksville (OH) wide out Tyler Tupa earlier this week, Odom, a high school teammate of OU class of 2015 signee London Cloud, gives the Bobcats two class of 2016 commitments at the moment.
