Chris Jans has officially been terminated from his head coaching position at Bowling Green.
BGSU Athletics promptly released a statement reading, "Jans was terminated following an investigation into his recent public conduct. The University concluded that Jans' public conduct failed to meet his obligations as a head coach and the expectations that BGSU Athletics has for its coaches." The press release also said that the school will not have any further comment on this issue.
Of course, we do not have the full story as to what may or may not have happened, but here's the very little bit of what we've gathered so far:
Hearing a cell phone video at a bar was involved in firing of Bowling Green basketball coach Chris Jans.

Until they find their 17th head coach in school history, assistant coach Mark Downey will take over and handle the program's day-to-day operations.
The Falcons went 21-12 (11-7 MAC) in the 2014-2015 season, a huge turnaround from going 12-20 last year and 13-19 the year before that.
