2016 Bowling Green Football Recruiting: DE Sharif Saleem Commits To Falcons

Bowling Green picks up another class of 2016 pledge.

The weekend is definitely starting off on a good note for Bowling Green. Just ten days removed from picking up his scholarship offer from the Bowling Green coaching staff, Cleveland Central Catholic defensive lineman Sharif Saleem decided to give the Falcons his verbal commitment during an unofficial visit to the BGSU campus on Friday.

"I was getting ready to walk out the door and I gave my football coach (Coach John Lundy) a call and he told me it's my decision and do what I felt right. That's what I did, and I told Coach (Dino) Babers that I wanted be a part of the (Bowling Green) family." The 6'7, and well over 200 pound Saleem stated to Hustle Belt soon after his making his commitment.

"I chose Bowling Green because it is close to home first off, and I really like what they had to offer. When I walked in the door it felt like home and I knew it was the place I should go. They are going to use my skill set as a key part of the defense at end."  He added on his decision to soar with the Falcons.

With Saleem's commitment Bowling Green's class of 2016 is currently sitting at two verbal pledges. The under-the-radar defensive end joins Bishop McDevitt (PA) wide receiver Kyree Calli in the Falcons class.
