On Monday evening the Northern Illinois class of 2016 added a new member to the family. Via his Twitter page, Pembroke Pines, Florida native and Flanagan High standout wide receiver Jahcour Pearson announced his verbal commitment to play on the next level for head coach Rod Carey and the Huskies.

"Their coaches showed my a lot of love. I did a lot of research and I can be a game changer over there early in my college career." The 5'9, 170 pound Pearson stated to Hustle Belt.

"They said they are going to give me the ball in open space so I can use my abilities, but also they are going to make me into a complete receiver." Pearson, who decided to commit to the Huskies over scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Toledo, and Miami added on his commitment to Northern Illinois.

Pearson is the third 2016 recruit to give the Huskies a verbal pledge so far this cycle. Jahcour joins defensive lineman Ben Leroy (Wilmette,IL/Loyola Academy) and quarterback Anthony Thompson (Chicago,IL/Mount Carmel) in the class.
