Just days after landing a pledge from defensive end John "Baer" Hunter the Toledo Rockets are back on the board. Announcing his decision via his Twitter page, three-star wide receiver Calvin Jackson is the now the 11th class of 2016 prospect to give head coach Matt Campbell and the UT staff a verbal commitment.
The 5'9, 160-pound speedster from Coral Springs Charter School in Florida chose the Rockets over scholarship opportunities from fellow Mid-American Conference programs such as Akron, and Bowling Green. Jackson also held offers from Florida Atlantic, Florida International, and Utah.
As a junior for the 8-4 Panthers Jackson accounted for over 900 total yards of offense and 10 touchdowns. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings he is currently considered the 234th wide receiver, and 1,611th overall prospect in the class of 2016.
