2016 Eastern Michigan Football Recruiting: Kamal Martin Commits To Eagles

The future is looking bright for the Eagles.

Not even 24 hours after adding a verbal pledge from class of 2016 quarterback Isaac Stiebeling, the Eastern Michigan football squad have landed a commitment from another talented high school signal caller.

On Wednesday afternoon three-star prospect Kamal Martin announced via his Twitter page that he is now off the board and verbally committed to head coach Chris Creighton and the Eagles.

A big and quick athlete at 6'3 and 210-pounds, Martin has the skills to play multiple different positions on the next level. Seeing time mostly at quarterback and safety at Burnsville Senior High (MN), Kamal won't just continue that role this season, but will also see snaps at wide receiver, a position he has been practicing over the summer at camps.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Kamal ranks among some of the best prospects in the country. At the moment he is considered the 46th dual threat quarterback, and 1,697th overall prospect in the class of 2016.

After a slow start to the 2016 class the Eagles are starting to make some noise on the recruiting trail. WIth the commitment of Martin, Eastern Michigan is currently sitting at four verbal pledges.
