Maryland coach DJ Durkin: "I talked to Pete Lembo every night for two weeks"

Interesting developments arose earlier today when newly-appointed Maryland coach DJ Durkin made an appearance on the Jim Rome Show on CBS Sports Radio. When asked about developing a staff, he described the process as being similar to recruiting a player and stated "Pete (Lembo) and I talked probably every night for two weeks." Lembo left Ball State after five seasons with the team to take a special teams/assistant head coaching job under Durkin. He joins Mike London and Scott Shafer as former FBS coaches on Durkin's staff.
