Week 7 MACtion Bet-kakke

We got cocky last week. It was the second good week in a row, and I completely expected to crush it to make it three solid weeks going for our Betkakke funhouse. Of course, as any sports wagerer will tell you, it’s when you start getting confident that the bottom just falls right out.

This season has been a challenging one. The losses and the fluke covers have been a real downer. Frankly, picking every single game of the conference doesn’t give you any ability to capitalize on advantageous lines and matchups. It’s a significantly harder proposition than just betting what you feel comfortable or (Lord forbid) confident.

We plow into Week 7 needing to get back on the winning ship.

Western has been a hot pick through the first 6 weeks of the season, but it had to end sometime. Week 7 was a tease as most all of the picks above were correct late into the game. Of course, like actual sports contest, it doesn’t count until it’s a final score. 2-4 isn’t the end of the world, and with some of the games this previous weekend, it could have been so much worse.

The following stats assume a $110 bet for each wager against the spread and a $100 wager for each moneyline bet. Winning initial bets not figured into ledger totals, only losing initial bets and profits. Example: two bets placed, one win (+$100 profit), one loss (-$110 initial bet) for a weekly ledger of -$10)
