The rich keep getting richer...or so it seems when it comes to recruiting within the Mid-American Conference. Toledo has landed a big-time commitment from a 3-star tight end. It also doesn’t hurt that this recruit committed to the Rockets just a month after de-committing from Bowling Green.
I have decided to reopen my recruiting process by decommitting from Bowling Green University

He chose Toledo over reported offers from Maryland, Bowling Green, Akron, Cincinnati, EKU, Iowa State, and Youngstown State.
The 6-foot-5 235 pound senior currently attends Boardman high school located in Youngstown, Ohio. With his size, Koontz looks like an ideal fit at tight end in college. For as skilled as he is catching the ball, he is also a solid blocker. Toledo will mostly use him for his route running and catching abilities, however it is encouraging to see Koontz making stride in his blocking as it will only help his chances to see field early in his career. Seeing how well rounded Koontz is, it is easy to see why people are excited about his commitment.
