The moves round out EMU’s schedules for the next four years.
Coastal Carolina will be a full member of the Sun Belt Confernece by the time the teams face off in 2019. They are currently an FCS independent. Monmouth is the only FCS opponent scheduled for EMU over the next four seasons.
EMU and Kentucky have flirted with their series back and forth over the past few years, including a recent UK move to backlog the return trip to Ypsilanti. However, it appears that UK will live up to its promise after all, making a trip in 2019.
EMU will also be Illinois’ second MAC opponent in the 2019 schedule, playing the Illini in Week 3 after Akron makes a trip to Champlain to open the season. Purdue is an interesting matchup, as rivals CMU and WMU have both picked up convincing victories against the Boilermakers in recent years.
The 2017 and 2020 schedules present unique challenges of their own, with three of the four games scheduled slated to be on the road.
