What we know so far: A 20-year-old student was shot and killed Thursday night and police received the initial report at 10:28 pm. The shooting did not trigger a WMU Alert, because the arriving officers at the scene determined it was not a random act, and that the suspects who had already fled the scene were known individuals, according to WMU Pubic Safety Chief Scott Merlo.
Updates will be provided as more information comes in.
UPDATE 1: An arrest has been made, according to WZZM, and it is reportedly Joeviair Kennedy. A second suspect is still being sought.
