Central Michigan adds Illinois, FAU to future schedules

CMU is about to be a whole lot richer. Illinois and CMU agreed to a one-time game scheduled for the 2022 season on Sept. 24th. CMU will make an absurd $1.5 million for appearing in Champlain-Urbana. Illinois had a vacancy to fill that season after a Big Ten requirement that forces all B1G members to play at least one P5 team in the non-con schedule and can no longer schedule FCS teams, meaning that G5 teams must fill those spots. CMU has also agreed to a home-and-home with Florida Atlantic in 2019 and 2021, with FAU hosting in 2019, and CMU returning the favor in 2021.
