Four Perform at Miami's Pro Day
Yesterday, Brison Burris, Bryson Albright, Kaleb Patterson, and Christian Koch all showcased their abilities at Miami's Pro Day in front of a number of scouts of the NFL. Representatives from Arizona, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Kansas City, New England, the New York Giants, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee were in attendance in Oxford. Burris and Albright made the most of their opportunity on Thursday as the former ran a sub-4.6 40 yard dash while the latter ran a 4.88 in the 40. The two will have to make NFL rosters as undrafted free agents though, as Burris lacks the elite speed and change of direction of a prototypical NFL safety while Albright is slight and struggled to be consistent at Miami. The pass rusher is rated as the 47th DE prospect according to CBSSports.com's Prospect Rankings. However, an argument can be made that all the teams present have needs in the back end of the defense and there can never be enough pass rushers on a modern NFL defense, so it will be interesting to see what happens in April. It will be a harder road to hoe for Koch and Patterson as they both lack the huge leg that teams in the league like and both struggled with being consistent at their position.
