We're finally podcasting again! Brandon Fitzsimons and myself have finally started a new podcast for Hustle Belt, and it's here to stay.
Tuesday Night Lights is a new MAC football-sided podcast where we'll be talking about, well, topics surrounding the most prevalent sport in the conference.
For our pilot episode, [former] Eastern Michigan running back Darius Jackson joins us to talk about his time at the school and how he's grown as an athlete to get ready for a possible future in the NFL. Though he didn't capture headlines like Kareem Hunt and others have, but Jackson has held his own at EMU, even though he wasn't a full-time starter until his senior season. After a sub-300 yard season, he ended his career with over 1,000 yards on the year, as well as breaking the single season record with 14 rushing touchdowns.
His agent hooked him up by giving him more exposure at Michigan's pro day, where his results gave him more much more publicity than before. He's been meeting with more NFL teams individually and enjoying every second of it.
Is it worth noting that maybe none of this would have been possible if it weren't for attending a satellite camp back in high school?
