2017 Bowling Green Football Recruiting: LB Walter Haire commits to Falcons

Another talented high school prospect will soar with the Falcons.

I'm not sure how your day is going, but the Bowling Green coaching staff is having a pretty solid Tuesday. While most people are counting down the days until the weekend, Mike Jinks, and the Falcons were adding another piece to their 2017 recruiting class.

Announcing his plans to play for the Falcons via his Twitter page, linebacker Walter Haire of North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana is the latest senior prospect to verbally commit to Bowling Green.

"I called Coach (Matt) Brock on the phone and told him I talked to my family and that I wanted to go to Bowling Green. Bowling Green is a great school. It reminds me of my school now. The staff is amazing. Every time I visit it's like home and I love it. I feel welcomed." Haire, who reportedly held a scholarship from the Toledo Rockets, stated to Hustle Belt soon after his commitment this afternoon.

A quick defender with good size (6'3/225), Bowling Green already has a good idea on how they plan on using Haire's skill set when he arrives on campus next year.

"They said they are putting me at outside linebacker and defensive end mainly as a pass rusher off the edge. That's what I like to do. Go get the quarterback."
