According to a press release via Penn State, both Ball State and Buffalo have been booked for one away game in Happy Valley. This announcement was made in conjunction with news of an Auburn-Penn State home-and-home series.

Buffalo will be the first to visit Beaver Stadium in a matchup slated for September 7th, 2019. That match-up will mark the fourth-ever meeting between the Nittany Lions and Bulls. Penn State’s first ever match-up on the gridiron with a Mid-American Conference team was way back in 1900 with the Buffalo Bulls defeating the Nittany Lions 10-0. Overall, Penn State holds an all-time 2-1 record against Buffalo. Their last meeting came last season at Beaver Stadium where the Bulls were defeated 27-14.

Ball State will pack their bags and visit Beaver Stadium on September 11th, 2021. That contest will be the first-ever meeting between Ball State and Penn State. Penn State is the Cardinals’ fourth Big Ten opponent on upcoming football schedules with Illinois, Indiana and Michigan on future schedules.

The Nittany Lions hold an all-time record of 23-3 against current MAC teams. After competing against Ball State in 2021, the only two MAC schools Penn State have not faced will be Western Michigan and Miami.
